Joey's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Wins Gold Medal and Awarded 91 points
Joey's 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet has won a gold medal in the 2008 World Wine Competition
held annually by the Beverage Tasting Institute.
In addition to winning a gold medal, BTI gave the Cab 91 points and labeled it "Exceptional".
The judges had this to say about the wine:
"Deep garnet violet color. Interesting aromas of rhubarb, pine needle, pickling spice,
and cocoa butter. A supple, soft entry leads to a fruity medium-full body of blackberry
pie crust, currant, cocoa, and marinated pepper flavors. Finishes with a long, gentle
fade of fruit, delicate spices and herbs. Very polished; serve with filet mignon."
Joey's 2005 Cabernet is a blend of 4 top vineyards in the Napa Valley. It is currently
available for sale, but supplies are limited.
